Position Title: Fast-Track Manager

Our Gastroenterology Practice is seeking an excellent nurse leader to join and manage their dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and techs. This Fast-Track Manager position is a working registered nurse manager position in an accredited Endoscopy Center located in Hickory, NC. The Fast-Track Manager is expected to lead, plan, and evaluate procedure referrals and scheduling. The Fast-Track Manager will report to the Clinical Director of the organization and will be responsible for maintaining quality standards and for processing referrals and scheduling of procedures within this center.

Key Job Duties:
Provide clinical and administrative leadership for nursing staff by developing, implementing, and evaluating programs, services, procedures, and quality nursing. The Nurse Fast-Track Manager provides input and is expected to meet timely processing and scheduling of referred patients. Other aspects of this role include hiring and supervising employees, assigning work, coaching, evaluating performance, completing corrective actions and working with outside scheduling agency. The Fast-Track Manager is a positive leader with excellent people skills and nurturing of human resources, demonstrating transformational leadership by creating and sustaining a healthy work environment that supports, furthers and promotes excellence in patient care, critical nursing practice and patient safety. This position will monitor and control resources (human and material) and provide excellent customer service. The manager will encourage higher learning/ professional development in staff by cultivating talent and supporting people in meeting their career goals. The manager is responsible for reviewing and updating department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and adherence to the workplace Compliance Plan. Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
- Graduate of a School of Nursing. BSN preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS Certification required and ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects while maintaining positive customer relations
- Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to use problem resolution skills to recognize and investigate unusual occurrences and results
- Knowledge of word and excel. Strong electronic health record navigation skills
