Position Title: Practice Administrator

Job Description:
Raleigh Endocrine Associates is seeking an experienced Practice Administrator. The practice desires to have the new administrator in place by January 2019. For more than forty years, Raleigh Endocrine Associates has been the Triangle's most experienced and comprehensive endocrinology practice. We are an independent practice of five physicians, six extenders and approximately forty staff. Our office is located on Blue Ridge Road across from Rex Hospital. Working closely with the Physicians, the ideal candidate will have a strong operational background and proven leadership abilities, extensive financial and operations management experience and solid knowledge of healthcare and the North Carolina market. The Practice Administrator will be responsible for daily operations, financial management and reporting, human resources planning and management, compliance programs, technology management, payor contracting, patient satisfaction and strategic planning.


  • Develops a culture that emphasizes collaboration and accountability.
  • Develops and updates organizational design, management, and processes for maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Implements solid financial controls and cost savings initiatives.
  • Creates opportunity for revenue and patient growth.
  • Ensures clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance market share through development of partnerships, affiliations, and growth strategies.
  • Mentors staff and provides opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Serves as liaison and channel of communication between the Physicians and staff.
  • Leads the strategic vision of the practice and successful implementation of Physician goals.


  • A Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or related fields is required. Master's degree in healthcare administration, or MBA is strongly preferred. CMPE or FACMPE accreditation.
  • Progressive leadership with a minimum of ten years' experience as a senior executive in an operations or finance position. (Independent group practice a plus.)
  • Experience in accounting, financial management and the use of data analytics and benchmarking to achieve better financial and operational outcomes.
  • Experience in physician/extender recruiting and retention.
  • Experience in contract and reimbursement negotiations, value-based payment models and shared savings agreements.
  • Experience in drafting and enforcing Employee Handbook policies.
  • Prior involvement with successful clinical quality improvement programs.
  • Experience in addressing matters related to EEO, FMLA, OSHA, ERISA, ACA, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment Benefits, and other federal and state employment related matters.
  • Experience in successfully completing compliance programs such as Meaningful Use and MIPS.
