Position Title: Practice Administrator


Organization: Urology Associates of SENC, PA

Location: Wilmington, NC

Job Description: The Administrator is responsible for recruiting, interviewing and selecting employees to fill vacant positions - Direct supervision with Billing Supervisor, Clinical Team Leader and Administrative Assistant.


  • General management of day to day operations
  • Oversight of staff
  • Human resources responsibilities and administers employee benefits
  • Work closely and has direct reporting to the physicians to manage the operation of the practice
  • Approve all scanned patient information into present EHR
  • Responsible for all staff and practice operations including but not limited to: compliance, MIPS, quality improvement, development of strategic business planning, business development, outreach and marketing activities
  • Strive to accomplish the goals, objective and initiatives of the department staff for financial accounting, information services and clinical technology
  • Act as a liaison between staff and physicians
  • Proactively plan, coordinate and prepare yearly operating budgets
  • Implement strategic initiatives to help the practice function optimally by reviewing and evaluating cost systems, physician productivity, and the possible need for office expansion.
  • Recredentials all Physicians and PA's with all insurance carriers, CAQH, hospitals and SurgCare
  • Prepare and print monthly call schedules including making any changes due to vacations on Perfect Serve and Google Calendar
  • Distribute monthly schedule and send changes to other Urology Groups Prepares binders for monthly meetings with necessary reports and arranging speakers available when necessary
  • Attend monthly meetings and take minutes, also conduct staff meetings at appropriate intervals to exchange information and promote morale
  • Change phone/ beeper communication during holiday time
  • Act as liaison between Virtual Office VVare and Allscripts to maintain quality working computer software
  • VVork closely with the existing IT company, Computer Connection by assisting with but not limited to arranging update appointments and trouble shooting.
  • Work with Karlson Communications in maintaining telephone service and upgrades.
  • Update the website
  • Assists pharmaceutical representatives with protocol and office lunches.
  • Assist with clerical, clinical and administrative support in other departments.


  • Bachelor's Degree in business, mgmt or a related field with a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Must have strong financial skills in planning and budgeting MIPs and EMR experience mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience in business planning, finance, human resource, operations and medical practice is necessary.
