Position Title:  Practice Manager

Raleigh Children and Adolescents Medicine is a well-established, independent, physician-owned group pediatric practice with a location in West Raleigh and another location in the Brier Creek area. We are seeking a professional, organized, team-oriented individual to fill the role of Practice Manager. The position will be responsible for overseeing daily practice operations, marketing and development activities, and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, addressing of patient concerns, staff meetings, and liaison with both external vendors and our affiliated accountable care organizations.
  • Conduct strategic planning, including return on investment analysis, assessment of the need for additional providers, contract review and negotiation, and consideration of sites for potential future offices.
  • Interview, hire and train new staff in collaboration with our HR manager and department supervisors, maintain personnel files, develop job descriptions and office policies, resolve conflicts, and work to establish a culture of collegiality and teamwork among the office staff.
  • Oversee payer contracts, manage billing and finance operations and reporting, collaborate with accountants and other finance professionals as necessary, oversee payroll, prepare an annual budget, and prepare and review periodic financial reports.
  • Collaboration with attorneys and other appropriate professionals, ensure that applicable federal and state laws and regulations are followed, maintain current business licenses and ensure that licensed clinical staff maintain all necessary licensures and certifications.
  • Maintain current membership in practice management professional organizations, and pursue a program of continued professional education and development.
  • Remain vigilant for new products, services, and trends and analyze those that have the potential to impact office efficiency, safety, morale, or productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration or a related field required.
  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in medical office management.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience in medical office billing and coding an asset.
  • Proficiency in pertinent computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding track record in leadership and teambuilding.

Anticipated Compensation:

  • Depending on qualifications and education.
