Position Title: Vice President, Neurosciences

Description:
The Vice President of WVU Medicine's Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute is responsible for the development and execution of RNI's 5-year strategy in cooperation with the Executive Chair in order to maximize RNI's performance across elements of the tripartite mission. These responsibilities include all operating clinical, research, commercialization, and innovation activities within RNI. These responsibilities include communicating, directing, planning, organizing, financial/operational monitoring and integration to facilitate the delivery of cost effective, high quality and efficient healthcare serves and high-impact and transformational research and commercialization activities. The incumbent will provide the leadership, management and direction for all operations of RNI including the continued integration of the service line and signature program across the multi-hospital West Virginia University Health System. This role will collaborate with core departments: Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neurosciences, Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, and future Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary centers of excellence (spine, stroke, pain, epilepsy, etc.) across the Health System as well as interface and partner with affiliate departments and Faculty. The position requires strong strategy and financial acumen. This position will partner with leaders throughout the system to drive existing and new initiatives, programs and services to enable the organization to deliver on its mission, strategies, and goals. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Vice President, RNI will exhibit and promote the mission, vision and values of WVU Medicine.

Requirements:
Education requirements include a B.S. or B.A. degree in hospital management, business or other related field of study. An advanced degree such as a MA, MHA or MBA -The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight-ten years' experience in progressively responsible positions in a hospital or health system. That experience should include tenure as Associate Vice President, Vice President or equivalent of an institution of significant size and complexity that would prepare the individual for the leadership role at WVU Medicine. Some academic health center exposure or experience is preferred. -The individual being sought will have a high level of ambition with a strong personal drive and keen sense of urgency. Exemplary organization skills and communication skills are essential. Good business judgment and instincts are important along with a high level of integrity. Prior Neurosciences experience is preferred
