Position Title: Clinic Practice Director -Neurosurgery
Organization: Carilion Clinic Neurosurgery (Institute for Orthopaedics and Neurosciences)
Location: Roanoke, VA
Join a growing, dynamic neurosurgical team that consists of 9 physicians, 11 ACP's, a 7 year ACGME Residency Program and about 40 office staff. Primary site location is at ION with two outreach clinics at Blacksburg and Martinsville.

Clinical background is extremely helpful in this setting. Will help support continued strategic planning and practice growth opportunities for Neurosurgery.
Supports Carilion's hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Develops and sustains a cohesive, highly functioning leadership team within multiple, diverse and complex practices. Typically supervising fewer than three (3) Practice Managers, provides leadership in support of high quality patient-centered care, an exceedingly competent and engaged staff, and the achievement of fiscal, score card and process improvement goals and objectives. Plans and develops strategies for new and optimal health care processes and services. Reports to VP or Executive Officer.
Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Healthcare discipline preferred or related field approved by Vice President.
Experience: 5 years' experience in management, preferable health care environment demonstrating increased and/or diversified responsibility for related service areas.
Other: Advanced leadership, planning, organizational, and accounting skills to manage multiple and potentially large, complex areas and to direct the successful completion of initiatives and achievement of fiscal goals and process improvement. Maintains a current knowledge of the healthcare and practice management industry. Demonstrated interpersonal and communications abilities to support team cohesiveness and a respectful inclusive culture of service excellence. Ability to engage in public contact work and public speaking. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access and Power Point. Ability to use electronic medical records. Develops and sustains a cohesive, highly functioning leadership team with multiple, diverse and complex practices while providing 24 hour accountability.
